ANXIETY DISORDERS IN PATIENTS WITH MIGRAINE AND TENSION-TYPE HEADACHE EXPOSED TO OCCUPATIONAL HAZARDS

Headaches (specifically migraine and tension-type headache) are among the most prevalent conditions that can significantly impair a patient's quality of life and have a substantial socio-economic impact.

Objective. The aim of the study is to analyze the severity of anxiety disorders in patients with migraine and tension-type headache exposed to occupational hazards.

Materials and Methods. The authors examined a group of employees from the Smolensk Nuclear Power Plant (SNPP) with confirmed diagnoses of migraine and tension-type headache (TTH). Emotional status was evaluated using the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS). The authors also analyzed the results of special assessment of working conditions. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 6.0 (IBM, Chicago, IL, USA).

Results. Anxiety levels were statistically higher in migraine and tension-type headache patients exposed to occupational hazards compared to those working under normal conditions.

ТРЕВОЖНЫЕ РАССТРОЙСТВА У ПАЦИЕНТОВ С МИГРЕНЬЮ И ГОЛОВНОЙ БОЛЬЮ НАПРЯЖЕНИЯ, РАБОТАЮЩИХ С ВРЕДНЫМИ ПРОИЗВОДСТВЕННЫМИ ФАКТОРАМИ

Головные боли (ГБ), а точнее мигрень и головная боль напряжения, являются одними из самых распространенных состояний, которые могут существенно ухудшить качество жизни пациента, а также имеют значительный социально-экономический эффект.

Цель. Анализ выраженности тревожных расстройств у пациентов с мигренью и головной болью напряжения, которые осуществляют работу с вредными производственными факторами.

Материалы и методы. Обследована группа сотрудников Смоленской атомной электростанции (САЭС) с подтвержденными диагнозами «мигрень» и «головная боль напряжения» (ГБН). Оценка эмоциональной сферы осуществлялась с помощью госпитальной шкалы тревоги и депрессии. Также были изучены результаты специальной оценки условий труда. Данные были проанализированы с использованием SPSS версии 6.0 (IBM, Чикаго, Иллинойс, США).

Результаты. Обнаружено, что уровень тревоги был статистически выше у пациентов с мигренью и ГБН, работающих с вредными производственными факторами, по сравнению с теми, кто трудился в нормальных условиях.
